"In prologues […] there is a sample of the subject, such that others might know beforehand what the narrative is about, and their thoughts might not be held in suspense; for the undefined leads people astray. Then, whoever places the beginning in hand, so the speak, enables whoever holds onto it to follow the story."

Your college journey promises a wealth of invaluable opportunities for learning and growth. It marks a new chapter in your life, one built on years of hard work and dedication to your studies. However, embarking on such a journey requires more than just stellar grades and test scores. You'll need to cultivate and share a personal narrative that's uniquely your own, one that embodies your history, background, passions, perspectives, and everything else that makes you who you are.
In a way, your application is a lot like your prologue. Through your essays and activities, you have the opportunity to convey to admissions officers what sets you apart from other candidates and what you'll be able to contribute to their university. We invite you to craft a prologue with us that makes readers want to see your story through to the end. Together, we'll help transform your experiences into a compelling personal narrative, seamlessly expressed in your own words, that earns you admissions to your dream schools.
Our Beginning
Prologue Academics was conceived from a story of failure. A story of a student who possessed extraordinary grades and test scores, who competed nationally in his chosen sport, who had multiple service and leadership experiences under his belt, and who was well on his way towards fostering a genuine passion which could set him apart from his peers. Yet despite his efforts, he ended up getting rejected from every single university he applied to.
Sadly, such stories are becoming more and more common each year. Students who seem to have everything going for them are routinely left high and dry by a ruthlessly competitive admissions process, simply because they don't know how to present themselves the right way.
At Prologue, we believe that no student's story should end in disappointment. That's why we developed our signature admissions counseling approach, enabling students of any background to discover themselves, develop their character and passions, and express their unique personal narrative in writing. If your college application is your prologue, then admissions officers are the readers you need to ensnare from your very first sentence. By weaving together your disparate interests and experiences into a meaningful, cohesive, and ultimately captivating story, you'll show colleges why you're someone they can't pass up on.
We've witnessed many times now how the power of narrative can change a student's fate. With our help, you too can write your ideal college future.

A mentoring style that isn't written in ink...
We understand that no two teens are alike, and when it comes to helping our students develop distinct narratives that capture their one-of-a-kind qualities, a cut-and-paste approach will never suffice. Our individualized guidance is highly adaptable, molding around our students' diverse personalities, strengths, and learning abilities to bring out the full potential in each of them.
Constructing a personal narrative is just the beginning. We show our students how to harness their voice to transform the foundations of their experiences into riveting pieces of written work that are just as unique in style as in substance.
